How to get to Windsor

Flights

The fastest direct route to Windsor Ontario is a flight, from Ottawa or Toronto. It would be a quick 1-hour flight, about 3-4 from Ottawa.   The prices vary depending on the carrier and time of year.    The two most common airlines arriving in Windsor are Porter airlines and Air Canada. The cost is usually $450 and up.   

Train

Via Rail from Toronto on their fastest train is 4hours 18 min. Buy your tickets on a Tuesday more than 2 weeks ahead of travel and get a better price.   

Bus

If you want to take a bus, there are two companies available. Megabus and FlixBus.   

Megabus has 4 trips from Toronto a day, 2 at 840 am-230pm and 2 at 440pm -1030 pm approximately 5 hours  and 15 minutes for. $56+tax + fee. If coming from Kingston area for example, there would be an additional cost of $49 + tax+ fee.   

FlixBus also has early morning rides from Toronto to Windsor for $39.99 +tax. The trip is 51/2 -6 hours. There is also an overnight bus from Pearson airport which takes 10 1/2 hours and arrives in the early am. For $48.00+ tax.     

Car

If you want to drive to Windsor, it is about 3 hours and 45 minutes from Toronto.  Windsor is easily accessible via the 401.

Once you have arrived in Windsor, you can walk to the hotel from the bus station. If you arrive by air or by train here are two taxi companies, you can call if there are none waiting outside the terminal.
