Windsor, ON – The Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Windsor will be holding a Start Smart Workshop to assist in preparing Windsor-Essex students to enter the job market. This event will be held at the Caboto Club on March 4th at 6:30pm. The event will cost $5 per attendee to assist in covering the cost of a light meal including pizza.
The workshop will be conducted by two local Human Resource professionals along with members of CFUW. Topics will include how to write a good resume, how to prepare for an interview, and the benefits of co-op/internship placements. Students will be able to participate in mock interviews and are encouraged to bring their resumes for review.
CFUW Windsor with 20 members locally, is a member of Ontario Council of CFUW. Our club is also a member of CFUW National a non-partisan, voluntary, self-funded, bilingual and non-governmental organization of women university graduates in 112 Clubs across Canada that works to improve the status of women and girls, education, peace, justice and human rights. CFUW holds special consultative status at the United Nations (ECOSOC) and belongs to the Sectoral Committee on Education of the Canadian Commission for UNESCO. CFUW is the largest of 67 national affiliates of the International Federation of University Women (IFUW).
